Summary

The tree-sitter-gate package ships no query files. The queries/ directory does not exist:

ls: cannot access 'queries': No such file or directory

bindings/node/index.js loads highlights.scm, injections.scm, locals.scm, tags.scm each wrapped in try/catch, so the package silently degrades — no highlighting, no locals, no tags for any consumer.

The Zed extension (gate-language-server/languages/gate/highlights.scm) does ship a highlights query, but the grammar package itself has none, so non-Zed consumers get nothing.

Expected

Author the four standard query files in-tree:

• queries/highlights.scm — at minimum mirror the Zed one (string, number, word, class_name, extends, visibility), plus types, keywords, operators, comments
• queries/locals.scm — definitions + scopes, enabling find-references/rename in the LSP
• queries/injections.scm — only if Gate embeds GDScript or string templates; skip otherwise
• queries/tags.scm — ctags-style symbol extraction
